Meet Rob

More than just a luscious head of curls

Being the only Organic Wagyu beef producer in Australia and choosing to approach farming in a way that is regenerative to the soils and different to your neighbor is no small achievement. Rob is a true craftsman in every sense of the word and has built his thriving farm from the ground up with nature’s rhythms and guidance at the centre of every decision he has made. He is an instigator for changing how food is produced and is a key part in the movement of being more connected and respectful of the processes used to create our food.

Since the inception of Gundooee, Rob has been truly passionate about, not only the organic Wagyu beef he produces, but every detail of the process it takes to reach your pallet. This results in an abundance of knowledge, which he actively shares with the local communities around him.

Farm life

Meet the kids

George (right), Angus (left) and Steph (middle)

Having all been raised on Gundooee, the farm remains a special place for us…a sanctuary that holds fast in an otherwise changing world. Check out those smiles – I think we are a lucky family.

Our Charity Partner

Tim and Andrea established a Taste of Paradise farm charity in 1999 as a mentoring program that takes homeless kids from the streets and instills in them hope through improving their self-worth. The farm is run as a mixed organic farm comprising of a fruit and nut tree orchard, a range of livestock (beef cattle, goats, horses, free range chickens, turkeys and alpacas), a conservation area, and the beginnings of a timber plantation. It also acts as the conduit for teaching skills, work ethics, social understanding and even home-keeping, and encouraging personal development under Tim’s strong, gentle guidance.

The project exists on a not-for-profit basis, without direct government funding, providing programmes that cater for each young person’s needs, short or long term. We live in privileged times, and after I visited the farm at Berry a few years ago and had a firsthand look at what some people were dealing with in their lives, this became all too apparent. All the sales from every delivery of Gundooee Wagyu Offal is donated to Taste of Paradise Farms, which makes a valuable contribution towards meeting some of the expenses of the farm project. Tim and his team do an amazing job.
